My first ceramic pinhole camera is firing on all cylinders! Next version requires some tweeks as the lid is not light tight and still requires gaffa tape- but it was my first attempt at making a ceramic lid! Took some test shots last week and as the light so bright timings were only 3-5 elephants!

During our open studios this weekend at Inky Cuttlefish I carried out a 4.5 hour pinhole exposure using the Victorian Sewing Box Cam and Ilford RC paper. I had intended to make the exposure for the full 6 hours, but it was a Sunday! Despite the appearance in the photograph, I had people dropping in all day !-thanks to all for coming.

Ceramic pinhole air drying to prepare for bisque firing; hope doesn’t crack! Have applied black matt slip inside, and glazed test tiles to determine exterior finish.
